Isn't he wonderful. I love some Omac goodness but before I go into specifics about him lets get some background info on how he relates to Darkseid.

Final Crisis

In Final Crisis, Darkseid and his prophets from Apokolips have taken new forms as humans on Earth after mass-distributing the Anti-Life Equation around the world. Batman has been captured, Superman is on a journey in the multiverse, and Wonder Woman has become a Female Fury. With most of the world's population under the influence of the equation, they are effectively under Darkseid's control seemingly making him the ruler of the Earth.

In the one-shot Final Crisis: Resist, Mister Terrific and the Checkmate organization are working to mount a resistance against Darkseid but seemingly don't have the means to do it. Sitting in despair in a Checkmate stronghold, Snapper Carr through his hopeless rantings gives Mister Terrific an ingenious idea. Using Sasha Bordeaux to make contact with Brother Eye, Terrific convinces the A.I. to help them, telling it that it will surely be destroyed if Darkseid indeed captures the world.

Realizing this, Brother Eye accepts Terrific's terms, and reveals that there are still millions of people infected with OMAC nanotech. These people, now mindless drones of Darkseid, are overwritten by Brother Eye and become OMAC soldiers under the command of Terrific. This gives Checkmate and him the means to forcefully resist Darkseid.

Any who, as you notice he is a rather standard 4/5 with flight and range. His first power is where he really shines. He takes away the Antilife affiliation from all characters with the identity Omac and protects them from getting it. this is a big boon if you opponent is running a lot of Antilife/Dakseid cards.

His second power is my favorite though. He has what turns out to be a psudo-recovery effect, in that you can get your 3 drop ,or greater, stunned and remove him from the game to Ko it and put him in play. This can be useful to not only keep your board presence up , but can also be used to get an extra attack or 2 in. The only hitch to it, is that you have to KO a non-army character. My thoughts on breaking this power is to run a standard curve 1-5 with non-army guys at 3-5. Then attack 5 to 5, 4 to 4, and 3 to 3 hopefuly getting your guys stunned. The next step woulds be just put three Insurgency Protocols into play and smash a free 15 endurance straight to your opponents dome.

Revenge of The Revenge Squad

Back when DSM came out the was much speculation about what the new teams would entail. Team Supes got a protection racket, The New gods were a weird mix of Cosmic powers, Darkseid Elite were really a grab bag of powers, and then there was the only consistent, yet underpowered, team : Revenge Squad.

Most Squaders revolved around picking on a specific character and or team , but others relied on the resource row for power, especially the Ongoing type of resource. This theme was carried on in the latter sets.

Less talk more action , here be the first card from DSM2

Hope, Amazon Bodyguard

This new incarnation of her can be compared to most Lois Lane, she is free while you control Lex, and there are plenty of Lexi out there. Some yummy interactions I can see with her include using New and Improved to push out a huge Hope , while filling your hand with Lex centred cards, for free and getting to recruit another 4 resources worth of characters.

And two resources well spent could be on

Mercy, Amazon Bodyguard. I really like this version over the original. She gives a universal +1/+1 pump to all Squaders (if you have your row face up) while she herself gets +2/+2 while protecting Lex. Which is not hard to do. The really fun part is that Hope can rally for Mercy.

But what fun is it to protect the old Lex when there is a new

Lex Luthor,President Luthor in town.

I have to say his effect is brilliant, drawing two cards (though there is a discard) and getting to return a face down resource to be replaced with any card from your hand , is one very good way to set up a resource row. All three of these guys working together can make The Revenge Squad 2.0 a very formidable team.

Damian here is a perfect toolbox for GK and League decks. Or a really good in between for both.

The only real good interaction I have noticed is between him and his 5 drop mama. You search then discard him to his own effect then her effect triggers and brings him back into play.

Good Eating, and do not stop playing Vs even if your life depends on it.

These two cards make me wish they were real and I had 4 of them. I love equipment based decks, Notably Hellboy equips.

Io Here is 2 atk 3 def. 2 drop with an amazing ability to search out a 0 cost equipment and equip it to a character you control. The only draw back is that all equipment put into play this way KO's at the start of the recovery phase.

The Themysciran Forges is a work of art. It is a 3 cost Location that is no-unique(which means you may play multiples of them from your resource row). It allows you to search your deck for an equipment card equal to the number of ready Forges you control and equip it to a Themyscira character. If you had all of the locations face up in your row you could potnetially search your deck for a 3 cost equipment or a 4 cost if you had Black Thorn. The draw back is a little hefty though, in that all equipment is Ko'd at the start of the recovery phase.

After reading the wonderful report on Majestics page, I decided I was going to rebuild the Shield burn deck that BCMer and I were working on.

First here is the deck that they used in their write up.

I went with what Michael had to say about the deck in general and tried to fix the problem areas. As he stated it seemed like he had to use the Helicarier just to get some Agents back to his hand after mulling that over and sifting through 13 boxes worth of Vs I came up with a few solutions.

1. Adding in 2 Jessica Drew to bounce a guy if necessary.

2. Adding in 1 Sentinel Squad O*N*E* to bring back Agents from the KO'd pile

3. Adding in 4 Layla Millers as pseudo-plot twist to bring back 2 Agents from the Ko'd pile

After making these additions it allowed me to bring the # of Agents down from 24 to 15 without truthfully messing with how the deck works.

The second thing I did was to also evaluate the other characters in the deck and how they "Help the Cause". The only big changes were as follows.

4. Reducing the # of Wolverines from 4 to 3, I always seem to hit him.

5. Reducing the # of Maria Hills from 3 to 2 and the # of Squirrel Girls (sorry Stu) from 4 to 3, this opened up space for,

6. Adding in 2 (a.)Life Model Decoys and 1 (b.)Hank Pym who are there to
A. be an on curve filler.
B. Help Wolverine Smash

Well that takes us from 38 characters to 31. I know what you are thinking in a deck that is supposed to vomit out Agents that is going to hurt the flow. Just work with me and follow my logic.

With the addition of Layla you can retrieve 2 Agents back from the grave for the price of 1 card so that is 4 cards that can replace 8 (sorta). And with the other curve fillers such as Jessica and the Sentinel it wasn't necessary to have so many Agents still in the deck.

The rest of the deck was pretty spot on, but since I hand a little wiggle room to add extra cards I went a diggin this time through MVL/DCL/MUN/DWF to find my answers.

7. Adding in 1 extra Evil Lair

8. Adding 2 Research Facilities ( replaces those pesky Helicarriers/and other locations and characters you might have had to place in your row).

9. Cutting 1 Birthing Chamber and 1 Blinding Rage and adding 3 Invasion Plans.(It came up a lot in testing that I had an Agent that wasn't doing anything, well thats government jobs for you).

And with those changes it brings the "others" count to 29.

Ah, good ole Weather Wizard and his shenanigans. So far there is only one Weather Wizard to be able to play this card, but if I were a betting man, I would say there will be a few out of this set.

The card itself is a lot like Dirty Tricks, but slightly different in that instead of all characters getting -1 atk only attackers get -1 atk. There is also a little add on that at the start of the recover phase you have to replace Sudden Storm unless you discard a card.

A little history.

Escaping a prison transport, Mark Mardon fled to his brother's house only to find him dead. Mardon's brother, Clyde, a scientist, had just discovered a way to control the weather before dying of a heart attack (although recent evidence implies that Mardon murdered his brother and either lied about or blocked out the memory of finding his body). Mardon took Clyde's notes and used them to make a wand to generate weather and embarked on a criminal career as The Weather Wizard, sometimes using his powers on a small scale (such as zapping someone with lightning) and sometimes a larger scale (imprisoning a town in winter), almost always facing defeat by The Flash (Barry Allen).

After Barry Allen's death during the Crisis on Infinite Earths, The Weather Wizard went into semi-retirement for a while, until, during Underworld Unleashed, he teamed up with other Rogues which included Captain Cold, Heat Wave, Captain Boomerang, and Mirror Master, as part of a ploy for greater power. Ultimately, it ended with their deaths and the release of the demon Neron. They were later resurrected as soulless demons, by Neron to use against Barry Allen's successor Wally West, who manipulated Neron to return the Rogue's souls. The Weather Wizard and the others, save Heat Wave, returned to a life of crime.

Weather Wizard joined up with Blacksmith and her rogues. Through her, he learns he has a son from a one night stand with Keystone City police officer Julie Jackham. Their son, Josh, had exhibited internalized weather-controlling abilities and Mardon wanted to have the same ability without the use of his wand. He tried to kidnap Josh from Wally's wife, Linda and dissect him to understand out how his son gained that ability, but hesitated to harm the child when he notice that the child had "my eyes...my brother's eyes." He was stopped by Flash and sent to Iron Heights, but escaped. After Blacksmith's group disbanded, the Weather Wizard, along with Mirror Master and Trickster, joined up with Captain Cold, who declared himself the leader of the Rogues. Mardon was also the representative of the rogues for the Secret Society of Super Villains.

One Year Later, he and several other Rogues are approached by Inertia with a plan to kill the Flash (then Bart Allen). Inertia destroyed Weather Wizard's wand and used 30th century psychological therapies to remove the mental blocks which prevented him from using his powers without it. Though Inertia is eventually defeated, the other Rogues successfully beat Bart to death, Weather Wizard using his control over lightning to electrocute him. After Allen's identity was revealed, Mardon was surprised and horrified to discover that the Rogues had "killed a kid" (All Flash #1).

Weather Wizard is also one of the exiled villains featured in Salvation Run.

He was seen as the member of Rogues who joined the Libra's Secret Society of Super Villains. In "Final Crisis: Rogues' Revenge" #1, however, Weather Wizard and the rest of the Rogues reject Libra's offer, wanting to stay out of the game. Before they can retire, they hear of Inertia escaping and decide to stick around long enough to get revenge for being used.

I will reserve the right not to make a deck until another version of the Wizard Wizard is revealed.

Here I am again in Previewcoladaville peddling someone elses wares.

Here we have Damage and 3 cost character thats is apart of the wonderful JSA team. Coincidentally JSA got me 6 wins in Indy06.

His meager 3/3 stats are boosted by his activated ability(Same as Atom Smasher with a slight tweak) of getting 2 1/1 counters (instead of 1). Which coupled with The Rock of Eternity could push him into 5 drop levels on turn 4.

He also has a good secondary ability to damage you opponents resource row by replacing a location for the low cost of an activation and removing a counter.

Damage is a DC Comics superhero who first appeared in a comic book of the same name during the Zero Hour crisis. He is the son of the original Atom Al Pratt. He has been a member of the Titans, and the Freedom Fighters, and is currently a member of the Justice Society of America.

Fictional character history

High school student Grant Emerson suddenly discovers he is a superhuman with incredible explosive powers.^[1] During the Zero Hour crisis, Grant's powers became the spark that restarted the universe after it was destroyed by Parallax; thanks to Damage's powers, the new universe evolved along natural lines, guided by nature rather than the will of Parallax.^[2]

A superhero/supervillain battle, involving Baron Blitzkrieg, Iron Munro, and others, results in extensive damage to downtown Atlanta. Damage is arrested for his part in the extensive damage. Sarge Steel is able to cut a deal for him: he would be banned from Georgia and remanded into custody of the then federally-sponsored Titans team, led by Arsenal. Around this time Damage deals with, emotionally, the murder of a fellow schoolmate he cares for at the hands of a supervillain. After a while, Damage leaves the Titans to find his origins.

Parentage

He learns that Vandal Savage was involved in an experiment at Symbolix called Project: Telemachus, where he took DNA samples he had collected from various superheroes and injected them into a fitting vessel: Grant. The heroes Grant shares DNA with are: Atom I (Al Pratt), Flash I (Jay Garrick), Green Lantern I (Alan Scott), Wildcat I (Ted Grant), Hawkman I (Carter Hall), Hawkgirl I (Shayera Hol), Hourman I (Rex Tyler), Black Canary I (Dinah Lance), Doctor Mid-Nite I (Charles McNider), Starman I (Ted Knight), Miss America (Joan Dale), Johnny Quick (Johnny Chambers), Liberty Belle (Libby Lawrence), Martian Manhunter (J'onn J'onzz - John Jones), Flash II ((Barry Allen), Aquaman, Black Canary II (Dinah Laurel Lance), Green Lantern II (Hal Jordan), and Atom II (Ray Palmer). Symbolix was allied with Shadowspire through Shadowspire's leader the Baron Blitzkrieg. The Baron became a recurring foe in Damage's series, starting with #3. Grant eventually learns that he was the son of the original Atom, Al Pratt and his wife Mary. Grant was forced to go underground after leaving the Titans, since he violated his parole by doing so.

When the original five Titans reformed the group^[3], Arsenal nominates Damage for membership. Arsenal managed to erase Grant's criminal records, so he was no longer a fugitive, and Grant joins the team. Grant participates in multiple adventures, including a confrontation with demons from hell in "Day of Judgment" #1. Later, Damage confronts something he had buried for a long time: he had been victim of abuse at the hands of his foster father. After opening up to Roy Harper, Grant takes a leave of absence and sought peace and healing on the Navajo reservation where Roy was raised.

He helps the current Justice Society of America against Imperiex and the villainous team of Obsidian, Eclipso, and Mordru, both times as part of a modern All-Star Squadron. He has since been seen with a new team of government-sponsored Freedom Fighters, whose activities are yet unknown. He also has something of a brotherly relationship with Atom Smasher, the godson of his father, the original Atom. It was thought that Grant had a brother, Walter, who was recently killed by Walter's superhero daughter, Manhunter, aka Kate Spencer. However, it turned out that Walter was actually the son of Iron Munro and Phantom Lady - an odd parallel to Damage's paternity search, as at one stage it appeared that Grant might be the couple's child.

Freedom Fighters and Justice Society of America vol. 3

Several members of the modern Freedom Fighters team were killed by the Society in Infinite Crisis #1. Damage was one of the survivors, though his face is severely scarred by Zoom^[4], although this isn't revealed until later ^[5].

Damage appears in the relaunched Justice Society of America released in December 2006. He wears a full mask and a costume similar to that of his father and Atom Smasher, featuring a biohazard symbol. He also has a significantly gruffer and more cynical attitude, partly because, as the villain Rebel insinuates, Damage was left badly scarred, but alive, by Zoom. Zoom later encounters the Justice Society, claiming to have maimed, but not killed, the boy intentionally, to give him a defining tragedy, and the fight leads to Georgia. Damage leaps into the state, although he is banned from entering, and catches up with Zoom, and holds him hostage. Liberty Belle calms Damage down, but Zoom escapes and hurls debris at his face with the intent to kill him. Liberty Belle speeds in, saves Damage, and knocks out Zoom^[6] Damage remains on the team, essentially in Atom Smasher's place (the Thunderbolt has even called him "Atom Smasher Two" jokingly).

In Justice Society of America #16, Damage's face was completely healed by the reborn Gog.

Powers and abilities

Damage can generate a power charge that enhances his strength, durability, speed, and reflexes to superhuman levels. If he doesn't use the energy in the aforementioned manner he is forced to expend it in a discharge, most notably the time he created the Big Bang during Zero Hour. The aged Damage in Young Justice: Sins of Youth had the ability to fly. While the current Damage cannot harness this ability yet, he can "leap" by firing his energy at the ground, as shown most recently in Justice Society of America #8.

Looky I'm not dead just lazy/busy. But I do have a wonderful preview for yall.

Boodikka here is a wonderful 6 drop. She has the standard GL trimmings of flight and range and a dash of Willpower for flavor(3 willpower to be exact.)
Before I delve in to the card itself lets learn a little bit about Boodikka as a character.

At three centuries of age, the warrior Boodikka of the planet Bellatrix was originally recruited by the sphere-like Chaselon of Barrio III to join the then-reconstituted Green Lantern Corps ^[1]. Not long before, Boodikka had belonged to something called the "Bellatrix Bombers," a group of women mercenaries for hire by planets to clear the spaceways of hostile forces. The "Bellatrix Bombers" had broken up at some point, the majority of the team apparently having been killed along the way.
Boodikka became a member of the Alpha Lanterns, an internal policing force within the Corps itself, soon after the Sinestro War and the enactment of the Second Law of the Book of Oa. The Alpha Lanterns make sure that no Corps member performs an illegal action using a power ring. Each Alpha Lantern receives a second power ring and receives direct connections to the Book of Oa's Laws and the central power battery. However, the process involves surgical alteration into a hybrid of the individual recruit's biological form and updated Manhunter technology. In other words, Alpha Lanterns are cyborgs.

The card itself is a control decks dream, bouncing one of your characters to bounce one of theirs.

The only, and I mean only draw back is that you have to return a ready Green Lantern character with a greater cost than the character you want to send packing for home.

Sonaht, The End and The Begining

So I figured giving the rest of Thanos history would benefit those who do not no him. At the end I will have a Deck that will amaze and titillate your senses.

Bitter at being an outsider, Thanos becomes fascinated with nihilism, embarking on his quest to "please" death, and begins by conducting a nuclear bombardment of Titan that kills millions of his race. Thanos' mother is thought to have died during the bombardment, but years later it is discovered that he kidnaps and then dissects her. ^[3] He later travels to Earth, and prior to landing his vessel destroys a nearby car to prevent anyone from becoming aware of his existence. Unknown to Thanos, two of the family members in the vehicle survive — the father's spirit is preserved by the Titanian cosmic entity Chronos and is given a new form as Drax the Destroyer while the daughter is found by Thanos' father Mentor and is raised to become Moondragon. ^[4]

Many years later, Thanos begins his plan to conquer the galaxy; he builds a base on Earth and constructs a space vessel in the solar system that acts as a "universal translator" for his huge army of alien mercenaries, so that they can understand each other's language. It is at this time that Mistress Death - drawn by the level of Thanos' obsession and his now considerable power - manifests itself before Thanos, being an abstract entity and the personification of the universal concept of death. Thanos becomes determined to prove his "love" to Death for this sign of affection by destroying all life in the universe, and embarks on a quest to find the artifact the Cosmic Cube. It is at this time that Thanos finds himself opposed by the superheroes of Earth, who initially fight Thanos' forces in a rather disjointed fashion:

Iron Man and Drax storm Thanos' base and fight Thanos' minions, the Blood Brothers.^[5]

Captain Marvel becomes aware of Thanos courtesy of his cosmic awareness and explains the threat to Daredevil, the Black Widow, and Moondragon while Thanos hunts for the Cosmic Cube.^[6]

The Avengers destroy the vessel acting as a translator for Thanos' mercenaries.^[7]

Thanos eventually locates the Cube,^[8] and uses his minions the Super-Skrull and the Controller to try and destroy Captain Marvel, who rallies Eros, Mentor, Drax, Moondragon, and the Avengers against Thanos. Thanos uses the Cube and wills it to allow him to be part of - and therefore in control of - everything. Although Thanos is now omnipotent and easily defeats the heroes, he makes the mistake of discarding what he believes to be a now-drained Cube. Captain Marvel shatters the Cube, which undoes Thanos' wish. Thanos then discovers that Death has abandoned him as result of this defeat, and retreats.^[9] Iron Man later investigates Thanos' old base and together with the Thing battles the Blood Brothers again.^[10]

Thanos journeys into deep space and learns of the Universal Church of Truth, led by the being the Magus, a warped and future version of the hero Adam Warlock. Deciding that the Magus is a threat to his plans, and after finding the child Gamora—whose race has been exterminated by the Church—Thanos raises and trains her to assassinate the Magus. Thanos also joins forces with Adam Warlock, who is unaware of the fact that the Magus is actually the Champion of Life and that Thanos is the Champion of Death. The two eventually battle, and Thanos feigns defeat to allow Adam Warlock time to manipulate the timeline and undo the Magus.^[11] It is during this alliance Thanos secretly siphons off the energies of the Soul Gem that Warlock possesses, and after leaving Adam Warlock, Thanos embarks on his next quest to appease Death.

Thanos combines the energies from the Soul Gem with the energies of the other Infinity Gems to power a weapon that is capable of destroying a star. Thanos then plans to painstakingly snuff out every star in the universe as a gift to Death. Gamora discovers Thanos' intentions and attempts to kill him, but is mortally wounded herself. Adam Warlock's unsuspecting ally Pip the Troll is also killed.

Gamora lives long enough to warn a returning Adam Warlock, who travels to Earth and enlists the aid of the Avengers, Captain Marvel, and Moondragon. After attacking and dealing with Thanos' mercenary fleet, most of the Avengers and Moondragon storm Sanctuary I, Thanos' vessel. Thor and Iron Man follow Adam Warlock and Captain Marvel, who confront Thanos directly. Captain Marvel destroys the weapon's launcher, but Thanos then kills an attacking Warlock. Thor holds off Thanos while Iron Man destroys the weapon itself, and an enraged Thanos then defeats the remaining heroes with Sanctuary I's weapons. The cosmic entities Lord Order and Master Chaos intervene, and via a subconscious message draw Spider-Man and the Thing into the battle. Spider-Man frees the fallen heroes, and then makes contact with the Soul Gem, releasing the spirit of Adam Warlock, who then turns Thanos to stone. ^[12]

Years later, the Silver Surfer witnesses the resurrection of Thanos by Mistress Death, who feels that Death needs a champion once again. A revived Thanos decides to collect the Infinity Gems, which he takes from the In-Betweener and the Elders of the Universe. Thanos then combines the gems on his left glove to create the Infinity Gauntlet, which allows him to exceed the power he once possessed with the Cosmic Cube.^[13]

Thanos honors Death by erasing half the population of the universe, but a group of Earth's superheroes almost defeat an overconfident Thanos. He then goes on to defeat an assembly of the cosmic hierarchy (here Galactus, the Stranger, Epoch, Kronos, two Celestials, Lord Chaos, Master Order, Mistress Love, Sire Hate), and even Death finally decides to join them. The conflict culminates in single combat with, and victory over, Eternity itself. As Thanos abandons his corporeal self to assume Eternity's position, the space pirate Nebula, who claims to be his granddaughter, takes the Gauntlet. Nebula then undoes all of Thanos' changes, to shortly afterwards lose the Gauntlet to Adam Warlock. Warlock had earlier made Thanos realize that it was his own self-doubt that subconsciously engineered his defeats, and when confronted by the superheroes he activates a nuclear device in his costume, telling them he prefers death to imprisonment. With no time to deactivate the device, Thor throws his hammer Mjolnir into Thanos, hurling him miles away. Thanos, however, teleports away just as the device detonates. Only Adam Warlock - in possession of the Infinity Gauntlet - is aware of the deception, and notes that Thanos now has a chance to reform. ^[14]

Thanos does reform for a time, and is eventually given the Reality Gem by Adam Warlock to safeguard. ^[15] At one point Thanos uses the gem to resurrect the hero Captain Marvel, who died during the time that Thanos himself was dead. Thanos seeks forgiveness for his past actions and claims he wished to test the power of the gem. Captain Marvel, however, knowing of Thanos' self-doubts, guesses the truth and suspects that he has been resurrected to try and dissuade Thanos from his real goal: using the gem to make Mistress Death love him.

Thanos confesses and at Captain Marvel's request allows him to return to the afterlife. Thanos then assists Adam Warlock and Earth's superheroes against first the Magus and later the Goddess- the evil and good personas of Warlock, who expunged them to become omnipotent when possessing the Infinity Gauntlet (Although none of Earth's heroes entirely trust him after his past actions). ^[16] After fighting Thor, now strengthened by the Power Gem, in single combat, Thanos uses an invention to imprison him, and takes Thor to Asgard, home of the Norse Gods. Once in Asgard Thanos, and the Silver Surfer engage Thor's father Odin in battle, but are overpowered. It is at this point, however, that Odin discovers he is indirectly responsible for Thor's insanity, and aids Thor in curing himself. ^[17]

Thanos later discovers via an oracle a new extraterrestrial threat - Tyrant, a failed creation of Galactus. Thanos allies himself with Galactus' former Herald Terrax, the hero Jack of Hearts, a second generation Captain Marvel, and Ganymede, a warrior-priestess dedicated to destroying Tyrant. Together they attack Tyrant's base, at which point Thanos abandons the battle and taps into Tyrant's computers to learn of his origin. Thanos then steals one of Tyrant's "power orbs" - containing power drained from Galactus' Herald Morg. Thanos then confronts the entity and dares Tyrant to stop him. The battle allows Thanos' allies to escape and destroys much of Tyrant's base, at which point Thanos teleports away to safety. Tyrant is then confronted by Galactus, who negotiates the terms of a truce (including the release of other prisoners the Silver Surfer, Gladiator, and Beta Ray Bill).^[18]

Soon after this Thanos recovers his vessel Sanctuary II from the android Quasimodo, and saves the Silver Surfer and Spider-Man in the process. ^[19] Thanos is later revealed to be trapped in an alternate dimension. He employs the aid of the brother of Ka-Zar, Parnival Plunder, to attempt escape, planning to control all vegetation and cause universal havoc. ^[20] A year later a now gigantic Thanos is still trapped, and attempts to use the Hulk as a physical anchor back to the Earth-616 universe. He is, however, defeated by the Hulk and the mutant X-Man. ^[21]

Thanos reappears two years later, having escaped the alternate dimension. He now seeks the Chalice of Ruins, Map of All-Ending, and Illumination Stone, which when united will enable the user to destroy the universe. Thanos enlists the aid of the Asgardian monster Mangog and the traitor Tarakis, and storms Asgard and ravages entire worlds hunting for the artifacts. After several bloody battles, the Thunder God Thor defeats Mangog with the help of Orikal while his ally Firelord defeats Tarakis. Just as Thanos unites the items and realizes his goal, Thor dons Asgardian armor which allows him to match Thanos' new power levels and defeats the Titan. ^[22]

Thanos later requires the aid of Thor and Genis (Captain Marvel's son) against the death god Walker, who attempts to woo Mistress Death and then destroy the entity after being rejected. Thanos and the heroes are successful, and it is revealed at this time that Thanos' retaking of his vessel and previous encounters with Ka-Zar and Thor were planned and served as useful preparation for the battle against Walker. ^[23] Thanos then devises a plan to become the All-Father of a new race of Gods created by himself. Thanos, however, finds himself opposed by the Avengers, former member Mantis, and her son Quoi, apparently destined to be the Celestial Messiah. Thanos abandons this plan after having to unite with Mistress Death to destroy the Rot, an aberration in deep space that is apparently their offspring. ^[24]

Thanos once conducted extensive research on genetics, and after studying many of the universe's heroes and villains cloned them and gene-spliced his own DNA into the subjects. Although he later abandons the project, five clones survive, being versions of Professor X, Iron Man, Gladiator, Doctor Strange, and Galactus respectively. A sixth and unnamed version of Thanos also appears, and it is revealed that many of Thanos' recent encounters with Earth's superheroes were simply clones impersonating him. The true Thanos - with the aid of Adam Warlock, Gamora, Pip the Troll, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, and Dr. Strange - destroys the remaining clones. ^[25]

Sometime later Thanos finds and uses the artifact the Heart of the Universe to stop an alien pharaoh called Akhenaten who conquers Earth. The artifact makes Thanos a part of everything, and able to absorb the entire universe - even the other cosmic entities. With his newfound omnipotence, Thanos discovers that the constant resurrection of beings has caused an impurity in the old universe that only he can fix. Thanos then restarts the universe and sacrifices himself to fix the flaw.

Any who the 8 drop Thanos is a very good card, the probem is you have to get to turn 8 to really abuse him, or to play him for that matter.

The objective of the deck is to get to 8 sub in Sam and play Thanos. Activate Sam on him and during combat attack your opponents smallest character. They will either ko that character and a few of his friends or take the damage. Then attack again as per Sam's effect, they will have to KO more characters. Then play reset till they only have 1 character. Now you can either stun that character or exhaust it and let Deathstroke kill it during the recovery phase.

I know what your asking yourselves,"what does sandwiches and Thanos have in common?"

Well, other than its a known fact that Thanos prefers his PB with orange marmalade on wheat toast, theres the fact that both are staples. One being a staple of an American diet, and the other will be a staple of location/reservists decks.

First the top slice of Bread.

Thanos is born on Titan, a moon of the planet Saturn to Mentor and Sui-San. Due to a genetic quirk, Thanos is born with the Deviant gene and as such resembles the Deviants — the Eternals' cousin race — more than his own people. Although treated fairly by his race, Thanos is mindful of his appearance and becomes distant, only keeping company with his brother Eros. Thanos matures to adulthood, and via the use of bionics and mysticism augments his abilities to become the most powerful of the Titanian-born Eternals, and is often referred to as the Mad Titan.

Activate>> Put target character or location from your KO'd pile face down into your resource row. If you do, KO a resource you control. Use only once per turn.

The first thing you will notice about Ol' Skrullchin here is that he is dual affiliated with not just Negative Zone, but with Underworld also. That ought to make all you Underworld players happy.

The second thing you will notice, and probably stare with your mouth agape, is his ability to recur Locations and Characters from your KO'd pile. Instead of the usual returning the card ito your hand tough you place the card into your resource row and then KO a resource.

Add Some Jelly.

Uses:
-Getting a location back after it was replaced by Have a Blast/Batman etc.

--Filling your curve via Straight to the Grave and a reservist character.

---Getting double use out of a location. I.E. Activate Stryker's Island to boost an attacker, activate Thanos to get another Stryker's Island from your KO pile, then smply KO the original Stryker's and flip the new one. Also this works well with any other location with a payment effect.

----Using Mr.Thanos to get Unstable Grounds back from the pile to just KO another Unstable Grounds already face up in your row.

-Using Mr. T here to get Spiderman into your resource row to teamup Avengers with NegativeZone or Underworld.

--Repeat above but with Adam Strange to cap a 1 drop every turn.

-----Many other uses, that smarter folks than me, will come up with.

-Multiple cards gained from Dark Dimension.

---Not being decked by multiple Surtur's Anvil activations.

We as a group could start advertising for Vs. Post something on each of our Facebook/Myspace accounts with links to UDE and to an OnlineStore that sells Vs.

Post fliers up a Colleges/High schools/Middle schools.

Buy a bunch of cheap starter decks and hand them out during Halloween. Or give them out to random people ala Jehovah's Witnesses.

We need to go viral with adverts: Spam Youtube with anything and everything Versus.

Birds of Prey, well not these birds, was the first deck to get me to day 2 at Indy. And they might have a chance to get someone to day 2 in Ohio. The problem is my build is considered silver now. They have the potential to bring the beats ala IG concealed while also having big meat walls to soak up damage. a few cards are lost in the transition from Modern to new Modern, mainly cards that give flight. But that won't stop me from building a new modern version.

Huntress will be the main 2 drop of choice. The new face in the crowd will be the new 2 drop Captain America because he could net you a card while handing out +1/+1 candy to everyone. Maybe 1 Gypsy will go in to just to sub El Capitan out.

3's
Oracle is a four of, card draw is too good when most of the cards you are drawing are attack pumps. This time around There will be 2 backups Batman(Founding Member) and Catwoman. A Have a blast on a stick and a larger attacker when Barb has fulfilled her obligations.

4's
Vixen is a must, large on the attack while hidden, and large on the defense while visible. Her partner at four will be a copy of Batman.

5's
Savant, well lets say I have to play him, He will be playing lead with Catwoman on Bass.

6's
Black Canary will be the main drop. But just in case he is needed we will also have a copy of Batman handy.

7's
Lady Shiva(Jade Canary) will turn every plot twist played into an attack pump, whats bot to dislike about that.

EASY CHICKEN SPAGHETTI

Chicken - (can, ground or boned)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can Rotel
1 lb. Velveeta cheese
Garlic salt
Mushrooms (optional)

Mix both soups together with about 1/3 of a can of water in pan. Add Rotel and cheese. Cook on medium to low heat. Stir in cooked chicken and garlic salt (mushrooms - optional). When all of cheese is melted pour over cooked spaghetti noodles. Easy and tastes good!

I Haven't posted a recipe in a while. So here is one for Chicken Spaghetti. Me and the Wifey had this yesterday for dinner and it was delicious.

Argh. Hulk Smash, Puny Weblog.

Well its that time again where i try to create some jank to fill space. Today i will be using some of the spoiled hulk cards. I will use them because I think there is a tier 1 deck somewhere within those few cards.

First off lets start with the cards from the spoilers

~Hulk, Green Scar- a great four drop with a built in Flame trap, if you control no other characters.

~Hulk, Gladiator- Solid sized 5 with an out of combat stun, that is awesome

~Caieara, Oldstrong- Mrs. Hulk, Remove her from the game when she becomes stunned to allow Mr. Hulk to attack twice.

~Hulk, Worldbreaker- Now this 8 drop is an end game. He doesn't even allow Darkseid to have his fun a turn later.

Righteous Anger- Stun the Hulk, Recover the Hulk, Ready the Hulk: And he can't be targeted. I'll Take four please.

The Great Arena- Mystical Paralysis, with some burn.

Hulk Smash- +8 atk, Let me repeat that +8 atk.

The Strongest One there Is- Mr. Fixit in plot twist form. Though this one takes a stun to cap an attacker.

Lets now move into building the deck.

So thats a 4,5,6,and 8 not much of a curve is it.

Well without knowing any of the other Warbound characters lets just add an additional team to the mix. JLA will give us what we need, plus they are Modern and thus playable in all formats.

For The one drop Slots we will need need someone/s that will jump out of play so our 4 drop will work effectively. So we will have to go with Black Canary or Aztek. Canary has the you stay down thing while Aztek gives a character a +3 def buff for the turn.

Lets go with 4 of each for now

At two we do not have a Warbound Character, but who needs one when you can play Red Arrow. He is pretty much a beefier version of Black Canary, but thats not a bad thing. We will also go a little of track here and add Namorita to the mix. Her recursion ability can come in handy.

A 3 drop that is on team and removes himself from play hmm, I know Hal Jordan. Not only does he removes himself form play but he searches out any card you need.

I think thats pretty much all the character we will need. Except for a seven drop. So lets throw in Indigo, She can take out the opposing 7 and gain some endurance from it while disappearing from play, which is exactly what we need to happen.

Atomic Axe is one the prize cards for the Bring-Your-Own-Set Marquee event. It looks to be just meh but as I gazed into the Persuaders shiney noggin I realized that there is potential in this k.o. effect. So I dug around and found my Emerald Eye Legend deck a decided to tweak it to make use of Atomic Axe.

So lets start out with my original build.

The Jury

The Jury was originally conceived and financed by General Orwell Taylor whose oldest son Hugh had been murdered by Venom. Hugh was a prison guard at the Vault, a prison for super powered criminals, when he was suffocated by Venom's living costume in Venom's attempt to escape.

Orwell gathered together Hugh's friends consisting of his fellow co-worker and friend Kurtis Elkin (Sentry), Samuel Caulkin (Ramshot), an army buddy of Hugh's and Hugh's younger brother Maxwell Taylor (Screech). He also recruited two others worked with Hugh at the Vault, (Firearm) and (Bomblast). Orwell gave the five of them costumes that were based on the Vault's Guardsman armors (a design stolen from Anthony Stark aka Iron Man). The suits were outfitted with sonics and fire, both of which are anathema to Venom.

Yes I played the Squire, he was a wonderful guy. Very polite and had a top notch deck.
By turn 4 he had Jared Stevens, Barb, and wait for it, wait for it, Wonder Woman.

Highlights: Having 2 Family of Fours, an Uni-Power, and a Flying kick in my hand and was to afraid to use them. I.E. Worder- bounces-everything-to-my-guys-Woman. Also having every search effect I had Conclaved/Bat got your Tongued.

Again I played a Realms superstar. He led out with Alfred, then Maggie on 2. On 4 was Batman, then 5 with Superman(not Metro Marvo).

For me it was nothing until 2 with Namorita. With the rest of the regular four following in order, except for Frankie on 5.

Highlights: Sending Namorita into Superman, Playing a Flying kick on Frankie, then removing Namorita from the game getting me Flyin kick back. And yes I did all of this to get rid of Supes 1'st attack invulnerability. Whoot.

I had Torch on 2, Thing on 3, and Mr Fantastic on 4. Frankie on 5, then Dr. Strange on 6.

Highlights: He setup perfectly on 6 so Brahma was keeping everyone else from being attacked.
I played only human on Brahma and went to town on his back row. Dr. Strange then flew into Brahma with a Clobber.

Aaron-Quickdeath

Deck- Fantastic Four

Mirror match time. He had Torch on 2, Invisible Woman on 3, Mr. Fantastic on 4, Thing 5, And Then replaced Torch on 6.

I matched him drop for drop from 3 to 5, Turn six I played my version of Torch, pretty much stopping any chance he had to burn me with his Torch.

Highlights: His Thing 11/11 into my Torch. He played Family of 4, I played Siphon Energy targeting his Family o'4, He then played another Family o'4 and I again played a Siphon Energy targeting his F'o4. Not to be dissuede he pumped, and then I used a Signal Flare to get a pump.

Poor Thing never saw it comming.

Deck-Quiksilver Random

This makes the 3rd time I have played Ryeland. The first being at 06 Indy, where he trashed my JSA with Secret Society. The second time was 07 Indy, I got my revenge with BOP beating his Spider-Stall.

He played Frank Drake on 1, then Atom Smasher on 2 , Quicksilver on 3.

1 for me was Invisible Woman, 2 was Luke cage and so on.

Highlights: Drawing at total of 4 cards with Luke between turns 2 to 3. I burned for a 16 on 4 with Lyja. Then an Additional 32 burn from Lyja with Dr. Stange's help on 6.

He then Swung 3 times with a Fated up Random, and with Quiksilver 2. Ending Score was him at -34 and me at -19.

Well that was pretty much my day. The door prizes were great and the Just-For-Showin-Up Prizes were even better- EA Signal Flare, and a Deck Tin-

Vs-Jesus listens to prayers

I think there has been something amazing arising from these changes. The quality of the blogs for Vs. is terrific - I never had the chance to read that many of them prior to this change, and I think that the spotlight being shined on them has meant that a great deal more fans get to see the hard work members of the community have put in. We told you before that we were going to reward the best effort each month with a set of Marvel Legends and the "Hero of the Month" moniker, but in addition, we are going to choose several select blogs to help preview Marvel Universe.

In fact, we are going to change how previews for Marvel Universe are going to be done (I'll announce it later on vssystem.com), so that you guys will get more previews and get them much earlier than usual! (Much, much earlier than you might expect.). I also plan to help the vssystem.com situation with some articles of my own about Marvel Universe with previews and insights abound!

The other day I was talking to my friend Trent and he suggested that I create a deck with an Easter theme. The only cards that came to mind at the time were Rabbit fire and Egghead, so those became the fundamental cards of the deck. It is a bit of fluff but it is playable, the interactions between the cards can become interesting. IE. Egghead gives Blob +2 def to brick wall. And hard Sound Construct gets you an extra guy just to stun to put counters on Lex.

The idea is to have thing out every turn possible, and off initiative use clobbering pine to transfer the attack to your largest thing, snikkr snikkr.
On initiative between all your things and the other low drop fillers family of four becomes a 4/4 on four and 5/5 on five, ect. Pls evertime a thing stuns you get to search your deck for another with yancy st. Assorted aliases also becomes a 3/3 pump for almost every character. New and improve is actually the play on eight, you ko every thing, pun intended, 3-7 and bring your 7 drop thing into play with 10 counters making him a 26/26.

The ESU science labs are great for reinforcement if you do not have Its clobbering pine.

Capn-Mania

Stars and stripes, thats what I think of when I see Captain America. Not only could he be considered as an American icon ,but he is an inspiration to all. Steve Rogers volunteered to basically be a guinea pig. In return he was made the ultimate soldier; superior reflexes, super strength, and a kick-A healing factor.

In the Vs world he is represented by five character cards.
The first is Steve Rogers(MAV), a three cost 6/4 with range, with the team affiliation Avengers. He is also has a built in team up to boot, with a leader ability that give adjacent characters the Avengers team affiliation and team attackers +1 atk while attacking. His over sized attack can be a serious problem for your opponent.

The next Captain America we come to is Super Soldier(MAV), also with the affiliation Avengers. His is a six cost 12/12 with range with a better leader ability than the aforementioned Cap. His leader ability keeps Avenger attackers from stunning while attacking and gives Avenger defenders +2/+2 while defending. On or off initiative he can turn the tide for victory.

Captain America is a Skrull Impostor(MHG). Well thats thats at least what the dual affiliated, Skrull and Marvel Knights, three cost 5/4 with range leads you to believe. But this cap is all American using his cosmic ability to keep your attackers from being stunned while attacking as long as they have three or more team affiliations.

Cap and Spidey the Dynamic Duo. Well with the 7 cost reservist Heroic Paragon(MTU) being dual affiliated with Spider Friends and Avengers, they well could be. His stats are ok at being 16/14 with range. His ability is where he becomes a defensive machine, he can pay 3 atk to give a character you control +3 def this turn.

The last stop on the C&A railroad is the 5 cost Loyal Patriot(MVL). weighing in at 9/9 with range and the ability to remove a Shied counter from himself to keep a MK character from being stunned during one attack. The down side to this is the opposing attacker or defender can not become stunned either.

Cap has not just been busy gracing the art box of character cards either, he has made his presence noticed on many other Vs cards.

Southern comfort, and no I'm not talking about the hooch, is a state of mind best represented by its food. The food gives the aura of warmth and ,well, comfort. Down home food with an emphasis on big taste. So why not try to add a little Southern comfort to your lives with this recipe.

Sun Drop Dumplins
1 (8-count) package crescent rolls
2- Rome apples
1- can Sun drop
3/4- cup sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine

Separate the crescent dough into triangles. Core then cut the apples into quarters. Wrap each apple quarter in 1 of the dough triangles and arrange them in a lightly greased (6x10) pan.
Combine the sugar and margarine in a sauce pan. Heat until sugar is completely dissolved and the margarine is melted. Spoon the hot mixture over the wrapped apples. The pour the can of Sun drop over the apples. Bake at 350 degrees until the rolls are brown an the apples are tender.

And while this is baking try testing this on your kitchen table.

Pyro-mania

Burn baby burn, this isn't a disco inferno. Pyro has been apart of Vs since its inaugural debut,with his two drop incarnation St. John Allerdyce, and has been burning our hearts and decks ever since.
Pyro is a mutant from Australia with the peculiar ability to control fire, but not create it, for this reason he wears a flamethrower to wreak havoc.
His lowest cost character in Vs is his One cost version, Freedom Force, from MXM. This card has the interesting ability to burn your opponent for three endurance for just causing at least three endurance loss while attacking a character. This ability can be game breaking in any Brotherhood build.
His second lowest cost character is the aforementioned St. John Allerdyce from MOR. Pyro measures up pretty low at only being 2 atck 2 def .This two drop can burn things up a bit, by activated effect, to make your opponent lose three endurance. This is pretty profound off initiative when he is defending and can stun the opposing attacker back.
The new kid on the blazing block is Hot topic at three from MEX. At 5 atk and 4 def he is failr average in size. He much like his distant Vs cousin The Human Torch, Sparky, can cause an increasing amount of endurance loss each turn in relation to a number of resources. Unlike Sparky its the number of resources your opponent controls.
After skipping a nonexistant four drop we find Flame-thrower at five from the MXS X-men Brotherhood starters. He is average stat wise and this time around only activates to burn for four endurance. Out of all the other drops this one is the worst when it comes to cost versus game effect.
There are a few non character cards that have Pyro gracing its art box. Playing with Fire is one of them. It is a two cost plot twist that has you exhaust a Brotherhood character to cause a four endurance loss to an opponent. Hell hound, a three cost plot twist, on the other hand gives Brotherhood characters +4 atk while attacking characters of a lesser cost. Both of the cards can allow Brotherhood builds to cause a lot of endurance loss pretty fast. The next best thing to not having Pyro is to at least have a Flamethrower. Flamethrower is a one cost equipment that gives the equipped character +5 atk and the ability to exhaust the equipped character to burn for five. The only problem is if the equipped character gets stunned it also gets Koed.
This finishes my first weekly post reviewing a character from Vs. At the end of each review I will have a deck list concocted from ,some if not all, of the cards I reviewed.
